1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. chocolate chips (12 oz.)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. oatmeal (optional)

Mix butter and sugars together until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients to other mixture and blend. Add chocolate chips and oatmeal and fold in.

Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
