JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
1 c. oil 1 1/3 c. sugar 3 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped nuts 4 apples, peeled and diced Mix oil and sugar; beat eggs well and add to sugar and oil. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and soda, then add to first mixture. Add vanilla and fold in nuts and apples. Bake in greased tube pan. Topping of 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons chopped nuts may be spread over top. Then bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |
