STUFFED APPLE WEDGES 
1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 c. shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese (2 oz.)
1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
6 apples, or pears
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. water

Bring cheeses to room temperature. Beat cheeses together until well blended. Stir in nuts. Chill until needed. Cut each pear or apple in half lengthwise. With knife tip remove stem ends. With melon baller remove center core. Fill hole with cheese mixture, flatten so filling will be even with cut surface of fruit. Place cut side down on board. With sharp knife cut each half into 4 wedges.

Combine lemon juice and water. Brush over cut surfaces of fruit to prevent browning. This makes 48 wedges. Is simple to make and very good.
