FINNISH BAKED ALMOND APPLES 
4 med. baking apples
1/3 c. blanched almonds
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. butter
Custard sauce & jam

Peel and core apples. Chop almonds and mix with 1/4 cup sugar. Stuff apples with mixture. Lightly beat eggs with remaining sugar. Dip apples into flour, egg and bread crumbs. Melt butter in skillet. Brown apples in it on all sides. Put apples in baking dish in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 minutes to 1 hour depending on size and type of apples, or until apples are tender. Serve with custard sauce and jam. 4 servings.
