MEATBALLS IN MUSHROOM GRAVY 
4 slices soft white bread, cubed
3/4 c. ice water
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
1 can golden mushroom soup
1/3 c. dry nonfat milk
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
butter

In large mixing bowl, make a paste of first 6 ingredients, using electric mixer (low speed) or a large spoon. Add meat and mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape in medium-size balls and brown, a few at a time, in small amount of browned butter, shaking pan occasionally. Put into small deep casserole. Mix soup with 1/3 cup water, pour over meat, cover and bake in 375 degree oven for 30-45 minutes. Good with mashed potatoes, rice, noodles or baked potatoes. Serves 6.
