PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening or butter, softened
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. Pillsbury's Best All-Purpose or Unbleached Flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In large bowl, combine first 7 ingredients; blend well. Stir in remaining ingredients; blend well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Makes 36 to 48 cookies. These keep well and can be frozen. This is a Pillsbury recipe.
