1 c. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. melted butter
2-3 eggs
1 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. ginger

Dissolve soda in boiling water. Add the molasses, then melted butter. Mix this well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add the flour and stir until smooth. Add the ginger last. Bake in a moderate hot oven.
