BRANDIED PEACHES 
3 c. sugar
2 qts. peaches, halved, pitted, blanched
3/4 c. brandy

Combine sugar and 1 cup water. Boil until dissolved. Reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes. Add peaches, simmer 10 minutes.

Put 1 tablespoon brandy per jar, fill jar half full with peaches; add 1 tablespoon brandy, fill jar with peaches; add 1 tablespoon brandy and cover with syrup. Seal in hot jars. (Makes 4 pints.)
