CHERRY COFFEE CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 can cherry pie filling (can use other flavors)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat. Spread 2/3 of batter in a 10 x 15 inch pan. Spread pie filling over the top. Drop remaining batter by teaspoons over the filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting while warm.
