EASY BEAN SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion
3-5 carrots, sliced
1 can green beans
1 can butter beans
1 can kidney beans
1 sm. can mushrooms
1 sm. can lima beans
1 bay leaf
1 can stewed tomatoes
1-2 beef bouillon cubes
Optional: 1/4 head shredded cabbage
1/2 c. barley

Brown beef and onions, drain. Drain beans, vegetables and mushrooms. Add tomatoes. Mix bouillon with 1 cup of hot water, add bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste (crushed red pepper will spice it up). May need to add more water for juice. Bring to a boil, simmer 1-2 hours. We like it with white rice mixed in it.
