TRIFLE 
Serves 8

1 sponge cake (1 1/2 if sm.) or lady fingers
1/2 c. raspberry jam
1/4 to 1/2 c. brandy, sherry, or cordial
1 pkg. instant lemon (or vanilla) pudding (directed on box)
1/2 c. whipped cream
1 lg. can chunky mixed fruits (drained)
1 pkg. (sm.) raspberry Jello (prepare as directed)
Blanched almonds, shredded
(Optional) sprinkles

Cut up sponge cake and cover each piece with jam, put in large brandy snifter. Pour brandy over and let stand 15 minutes. Add drained fruits. Add Jello (make mix before, cut into pieces before adding). Add pudding. Refrigerate overnight. Before serving garnish with whipped cream, nuts, sprinkles.
