8 oz. pkg. Velveeta 2 sticks butter 1/2 c. cocoa 2 lbs. powdered sugar 1 1/2 c. pecans or walnuts 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Melt cheese and butter together in top of double boiler. Sift powdered sugar and cocoa together until no lumps remain. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Mix sugar mixture into melted cheese and butter. Blend with wooden spoon or hands. Add nuts and vanilla. Blend again. Press into buttered 13x9x2-inch pan. Allow to firm; cut into squares. This recipe may be doubled easily. Can also be frozen. |
