MANDARIN ORANGE TOSS 
1/3 c. sliced almonds
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 head lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
1 sm. bunch Romaine, torn into bite-size pieces
2 med. stalks celery, thinly sliced, (about 1 c.)
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained
2 green onions, thinly sliced

SWEET SOUR DRESSING:

1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
Dash of red pepper sauce

DRESSING: Shake all ingredients in a tightly covered jar. Refrigerate.

Cook almonds and sugar over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted and almonds are coated. Cool and break apart. Store at room temperature.

Place lettuce and Romaine in plastic bag; add celery and onions. Pour dressing into bag; add orange segments. Close bag tightly and shake until salad greens are well coated. Add almonds and shake. Serve.
