OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
1 lb. eggs (10)
1 lb. flour (4 c.)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon flavoring

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; add eggs one at a time. Add flour and salt; mix well 2 or 3 minutes. Add lemon flavoring.

Pour into greased and floured tube pan; bake in 300 degree oven 90 minutes or until done.

ICING:

1 tbsp. butter
1 box powdered sugar
Juice of 2 lemons
Rind of 1 lemon (yellow)

Beat all ingredients together until smooth. Add a few drops of milk if not smooth enough to spread over cake.
