1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/3 c. flour
2 eggs
Jelly or preserves

Blend first 6 ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Push thumb into center of each cookie. Drop a small amount of jelly or preserves onto each cookie. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees until slightly golden. Enjoy!
