MIXED VEGETABLE PICKLE 
1 lg. head cauliflower
1 qt. cucumber chunks
1 qt. celery, diced
1 qt. carrots, cut in inch pieces
1 qt. lima beans
2 red peppers, cut in pieces
2 green or yellow peppers, cut in pieces
1 qt. sm. onions or sliced ones

Sprinkle 1/3 cup salt over peppers, cucumbers and onions. Let stand 1 hour. Drain. Cook each of other vegetables in salt water until tender but not soft. Mix all vegetables after they are drained. Pack into jars. Pour the following mixture over.

MIXTURE FOR VEGETABLE PICKLE:

1 pt. vinegar
1 pt. water
4 c. sugar

Bring to boil then add to jars, seal and cold pack 5 minutes in boiling water.
