POKE CAKE | |
1 box yellow cake mix 1 box Jello, any flavor 1 box chocolate instant pudding 1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip 1. Bake cake according to package instructions in a 9 x 13 inch pan and let cool. 2. Make Jello with boiling water, do not let it gel. 3. Poke about a dozen holes in cake with the handle of a wooden spoon. 4. Pour liquid Jello over cake. 5. Make instant pudding and spread over cake. 6. Top with a layer of Cool Whip and refrigerate until firm. |

Also, this cake can be made with any flavor combo, but the one I keep going back to is yellow cake, raspberry Jello, and banana pudding. It just tastes so refreshing and scrumptious; it feels lighter that chocolate would. I make my dad this cake every year on his birthday, and he is highly affronted if I ever propose trying a different recipe. Everyone who's tried it loves this cake.
