DEEP DISH BISCUIT PIZZA | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. chopped onion or 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 1 c. tomato sauce 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated biscuits 1 (2 oz.) can mushroom pieces 1 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain mushrooms. In a large fry pan, brown ground beef and onion; drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer while preparing crust. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits. Press biscuits over bottom and sides of a greased 10" pie pan. Spoon meat mixture into crust. Sprinkle with mushrooms, Mozzarella cheese and remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. For easier serving, let stand 5 minutes before cutting into wedges. |
