PEANUT BRITTLE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. raw shelled peanuts
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda

In medium saucepan heat to boiling, sugar, corn syrup, salt, and 1/4 cup water, stirring constantly until sugar dissolved. Stir in peanuts. Continue cooking, stirring frequently until mixture reached 300 degrees. Stir in butter and baking soda after removing from heat. Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Store in airtight container. Yields 1 pound.
