PASTA STUFFED PEPPERS | |
1/2 lb. sm. pasta 4 green peppers 2 slices bacon, diced 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 lb. lean ground beef 1 tsp. dried basil leaves Dash black pepper 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese Cook pasta according to package directions. Wash green peppers, cut off tops, remove seeds. Steam about 5 minutes or until barely tender. While peppers and pasta are cooking, fry the bacon with the onion, until onion is transparent. Add the ground beef, stirring and browning. Stir in basil and pepper, tomato sauce, combining well. Drain pasta. Stir into meat mixture. Place the peppers in an oiled, flat baking dish. Fill peppers with meat mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. |
