PIZZA SNACKS 
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. hot bulk pork sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. oregano
1 tbsp. fennel seeds
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 (16 oz.) pkg. processed American cheese, cubed
1 (16 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, cubed
3 (8 oz.) loaves party rye bread

Remove casing from Italian sausage (or use bulk); crumble into skillet. Add hot sausage, onion and green pepper. Cook until meat is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain grease. Add seasonings; heat gently over low heat. Stir in cheese cubes, stirring constantly until cheese melts. Remove from heat. Spread a scant 1 tablespoon meat mixture on each slice of bread. Place slices in single layer on large baking sheets and freeze. When frozen, place in plastic bags, seal tightly and store in freezer until needed. To serve, thaw and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. To serve right away, bake immediately after assembling. Makes about 11 dozen.
