CHERRY - CHEESE COFFEE CAKE 
8 oz. cream cheese
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 (8 oz.) crescent roll dough
1 c. cherry pie filling

Beat cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla together until smooth. Remove crescent roll dough from can, place on a cookie sheet in a long rectangle, overlapping long sides slightly. Firmly press perforations to seal.

Spread cream cheese mixture down the center of dough and top with cherry filling. Make 1 inch cuts down sides up to filling. Twist each strip over top of filling at an angle, alternating from side to side (to give braided appearance). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
