DILLY BREAD 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 c. creamed cottage cheese
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. instant onion
2 tsp. dill seed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 unbeaten egg
2 1/4 - 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Soften yeast in water. Carefully heat cottage cheese, sugar and butter to lukewarm. If cheese gets stringy, it's still useable.

Combine this mixture with onion, dill seed, salt, soda, egg and softened yeast. Add flour to form a soft dough. Beat well after each addition. Cover and let rise in warm place (85-90 degrees) for 50-60 minutes.

Stir down dough and put into a well-greased 8-inch round casserole. Let rise again until light (30-40 minutes). Bake 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees. (It will be dark.) Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
