CREAM CHEESE COFFEE CAKE 
1/4 c. scalded cream
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 pkg. yeast

Dissolve yeast in cream, add sugar, cut butter into flour and salt as for pie crust. Add egg yolks and yeast; mix well. Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll each piece to fit a pan, 9 x 13 x 2 inches. Place one piece in bottom of pan.

FILLING:

1 lb. cream cheese
1 egg, separated
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Beat cheese, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Spread mixture over dough. Place second piece of dough on top of cheese. Brush with slightly beaten egg white. Sprinkle nuts over all. Cover and let rise for 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
