JOAN'S COFFEE CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 3/4 sticks butter
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 egg yolks
1/2 c. sour milk (milk made sour with 1 tsp. vinegar)

Melt butter, add egg yolks, milk, yeast. Add flour and refrigerate overnight. Next day: Roll thin using powdered sugar instead of flour.

Filling:
3 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Beat whites and add sugar slowly. Fold in cinnamon and nuts. Spread on roll very loosely and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Can also make 3 smaller coffee cakes.
