PIE CRUST COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream or tartar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavor

Mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, butter and butter together like a pie crust. Mix eggs and sugar in a bowl. Add vanilla. Mix and chill dough. Roll out dough and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. (I roll dough in small balls, dip top in sugar, and press down with a glass.) Sprinkle more sugar on top.
