1/2 c. shortening 1 c. water 1 c. all-purpose flour 1/8 tsp. salt 4 eggs Place shortening and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add flour and salt and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add unbeaten eggs, 1 at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. On a greased cookie sheet, shape mixture into strips about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, reset oven to 400 degrees and bake for 20 minutes more. Pierce shells and bake 15 to 20 minutes more at 400 degrees. When cool, split 1 side of shells, fill and frost. FILLING: Prepare 1 package of vanilla cooked pudding according to directions on package. Chill. CHOCOLATE FROSTING: 1 egg 1/3 c. butter, melted 1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract |
