CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1/2 cup crisco
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups plain flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and crisco together. Add sugar - one cup at a time. Cream well. Add eggs - one at a time. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together. Add flour and milk slowly. Begin with flour and end with flour using low speed - Add vanilla.

Bake at 325°F for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.

Chocolate Icing for Chocolate Pound Cake:

1 box 4 or 10 X sugar
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift sugar and cocoa together. Cream sugar cocoa and butter together. Add cream cheese and vanilla. (Add a little milk if needed.) Frost Cake.
