APPLE CRUMB PIE | |
1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked 6 to 8 med. apples, pared, cored and sliced 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. cinnamon Dash of nutmeg 2 tbsp. butter Bake pie shell as desired. Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients, except butter and ingredients for topping. Pour filling into pie shell. Dot with butter. CRUMB TOPPING: 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 c. quick-cooking, rolled oats 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1/4 c. nuts, chopped 1/2 tsp. cinnamon For topping, cut butter into dry ingredients. Sprinkle over apples. Bake in microwave oven on high 11 to 13 minutes or until apples are tender. |
