BATTER BREAD 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/4 c. warm water
2 tbsp. melted shortening
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Mix above ingredients in mixer. Put into well greased 9"x13" pan. Flour hands well and pat dough into pan. Brush top of dough with 1 unbeaten egg white and 2 tablespoons water. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Let rise 40 minutes.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Cool, split through the middle. Fill with slices of ham and Swiss cheese or salami and provolone cheese. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake again at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Meat slices should be very thin, overlap slices. (Use German salami.)
