BUTTERCREAM ICING 
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 tbsp. clear vanilla extract
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk

Cream butter and shortening well. Add vanilla. Gradually add powdered sugar, then add milk. Mix well. Can be stored in covered container in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
