OLD FASHION CHOCOLATE FUDGE 
2/3 c. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, cocoa and salt in a 4 quart heavy saucepan. Stir in milk. Bring to rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring to 234 degrees (soft boil stage) or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a soft ball.

Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. DO NOT STIR. Cool at room temperature. Beat until fudge thickens and loses some of its gloss. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts and spread into an 8 or 9 inch pan.
