7 c. liquid (real warm water) 3 pkgs. dry yeast 2 tbsp. sugar Let these ingredients set while you mix the rest. 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. sugar 1 c. melted shortening Add to liquid and mix well. 3 qts. flour (add 1 tbsp. salt to each qt. of flour) Mix in flour, 1 quart at a time. Flour differs with each brand and more may be needed. After mixing all the ingredients well, knead dough until smooth. Let rise in a well greased bowl until double in volume. Punch down and let rise again. Shape into rolls or loaves and let rise in greased pans. Bake 4olls at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes and bake loaves in 350 degree oven for about 35 minutes. |
