PAUA SOUP 
Pewa from 8 pauas, chopped
1 lg. onion
1 stick diced celery
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 pt. milk
1 c. cream
1 tbsp. flour
Pinch of allspice
Salt and pepper

Melt butter in pan and saute onions and celery, add the milk and cream. Mix the flour with a little milk and thicken the mixture, add the chopped pewa, pepper and salt. Simmer gently for a few minutes and just before serving add a pinch of allspice.
