CANNED PICKLED BEETS 
Wash and rinse jars well. Use oven at 150 degrees to heat jars. Line rack of oven with aluminum foil, place jars upside down on rack. Wash beets well.

Cook beets with skin on, then peel and cut beets. Put beets in hot juice until ready to can. Take: 1 1/2 c. vinegar 2 c. sugar

Heat to boiling. Pack hot beets into hot glass jars, cover with syrup and add 1/2 teaspoon salt to pints or 1 teaspoon salt to quarts and seal.
