TEXAS TOAST BREAD | |
1 c. evaporated milk 1/2 c. warm water 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. flour 2 pkgs. yeast 1 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. oil 3 (13 oz.) coffee cans Pour milk into yeast that has been dissolved in the warm water. Add remaining ingredients. Mix until it makes a soft dough. Spoon into three greased 13 ounce coffee cans. Set covered in a warm place to rise until cans are full. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until browned. (This is a quick bread because it does not have to be kneaded at all.) |
