BAKED BEANS | |
2 lbs. navy beans 1 1/2 to 2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. dry mustard 4 tsp. light molasses 1/2 c. catsup 2 stalks celery, cut fine 2 sm. onions, cut fine 6 slices bacon, cut sm. Soak beans overnight - cover with water and cook until skin breaks - (add 1 tablespoon salt to water while cooking). Drain and rinse. Add all other ingredients - plus water to almost cover. Bake at 275 degrees overnight or 4 to 6 hours. Taste and adjust seasoning. |
