Cream together until fluffy:

3 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. water

Sift together:

2 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon

Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in 1 cup finely chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2 cups grated apples and 1 teaspoon vanilla; mix well. Spoon in a greased and floured 10 inch loose bottom tube pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 60-70 minutes until cake tests done. Makes 12 servings.
