COLD SLAW - LASTS LONG TIME! | |
1 head cabbage 1 lg. onion 1 lg. bell pepper 1 c. sugar Chop fairly fine, mix well and place in a container which can be sealed. Pour 1 cup sugar over the top, but do not stir. Bring to a boil: 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. salt Pour over cabbage, mix and let set for at least four hours. Drain before serving. May use half of recipe (1/2 cabbage, small onion, small pepper). |
