ZUCCHINI SQUASH PICKLES 
6 qts. sliced or cubed zucchini squash
6 med. onions, sliced & ringed
2 green peppers, cut up, diced
1 tsp. garlic salt (if desired)

Mix all the above ingredients. Add 1/2 cup of salt and cover with very cold water. Let stand for 3 hours; drain well. Bring the following ingredients to a full boil:

5 c. sugar
3 c. vinegar (white or dark)
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed

Heat to a boiling point. Add zucchini. Heat well. Seal in hot jars.
