SOUR DOUGH BISCUITS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. Starter

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in butter, add Starter and mix. Turn dough out on lightly floured board and knead lightly until satiny (kind of shiny). Roll dough 1/2 inch thick, cut with round cutter, place in well-greased pan, brush with melted butter. Let rise for 1 hour in a warm place. Bake 20 minutes at 425 degrees.
