APPLE AND SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 can (2 lb.) sweet potatoes
2 c. sliced peeled apples
3/4 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tsp. salt

Slice sweet potatoes lengthwise. Place in a greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch glass baking dish. Arrange apple slices on top of potatoes. Combine syrup, butter and salt; pour over potatoes and apples. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 30 minutes. Baste frequently. Makes 8 servings.
