CREAM SOUP MIX | |
2 c. dry milk 3/4 c. corn starch 1/4 c. chicken bouillon 2 tbsp. dried onion flakes 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. thyme 1/2 tsp. pepper Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container. Makes 7 servings. 112 calories per 1/3 cup dry mix. To Use: Bring 1 1/4 cups water to boil, add enough water to 1/3 cup of mix to make smooth paste, add the paste to the water and stir until thick. Serving Suggestion: Add chopped celery and carrots to water. Boil until soft, then add mix. Add can of chopped mushrooms to water for mushroom soup. Add celery, carrots, mushrooms, add paste and 1/4 cup shredded cheese. Use only 1 cup of water to make a thick sauce for casseroles, etc. |
