MOM'S APPLE PIE 
1 stick soft butter
2-3 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
2-3 lbs. apples
4-5 handfuls cornflakes
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. clove
1/2 stick butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix first 5 ingredients and press into 9 or 10 inch Pyrex pie dish. Peel and slice apples thin and mound high on dough. Crumble corn flakes and mix with brown sugar, cinnamon and clove. Sprinkle over apples, covering well. Then dot with butter. Bake 1 hour. Cool, slice and serve.
