SNICKERDOODLES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
Dash of salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix well and chill so the dough can roll into a walnut-size easily. Roll the ball and cover with cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on a cookie sheet. Bake until light brown and soft. Bake at 375 degrees usually 8 to 10 minutes.

I usually use self-rising flour in place of the salt and soda.
