LASAGNA 
1 (1 lb.) box lasagna noodles
2 lbs. ground beef
1 lg. onion, diced
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 (15 oz.) cans herbed tomato sauce
1 tsp. garlic salt (or more to taste)
1 tbsp. oregano
1 (1 lb.) carton cottage cheese
1 egg
5 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
1 sm. can Parmesan cheese

Cook noodles until tender, drain and rinse with cold water. Brown ground beef and onion, drain off fat; add the tomato sauces, garlic salt and oregano; heat to boiling. Stir egg into cottage cheese.

In 11"x16"x2" lasagna pan, layer noodles (10 on bottom), meat sauce, Mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese; repeat layers, ending with meat sauce, Mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
