MRS. RUSSO'S CREAM CHEESE
COOKIES
 
4 c. sifted flour
1 lb. butter
8 oz. cream cheese
Confectioners' sugar

CHOICE OF FILLINGS:

Apple butter
Prune
Apricot preserves
Strawberry preserves

Soften butter and cream cheese. When very soft cream butter and cream cheese with wooden spoon. Add flour a little at a time. Form into ball. Flatten ball; cut into 4 equal parts; wrap in wax paper and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Remove one part at a time from refrigerator. Roll out onto confectioners' sugar. Cut into approximately 3 inch squares. Put your choice of filling (about a teaspoonful) in center of square and fold 2 ends of square over filling. Sprinkle with sifted confectioners' sugar and bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. When ready to serve sprinkle again with confectioners' sugar.
