RED AND GREEN STEAK 
2 lb. round steak
3 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
5 tbsp. cornstarch
3-4 ripe tomatoes
1 green pepper, sliced

Cut steak in bite size cubes, brown in shortening. Add 1 cup water, bouillon cubes, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 1 hour. Add green pepper. Simmer 10 minutes longer. Blend cornstarch, soy sauce, and 1/2 cup water. Add to meat mixture and cook, stirring until thickened. Add tomatoes and heat 5 minutes.
