STRAWBERRY BREAD | |
2 eggs, beaten 1 (10 oz.) frozen berries, thawed 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1/4 c. wheat germ 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. nuts, chopped 1 1/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon Add berries and their syrup to beaten eggs. Stir in oil, wheat germ, sugar and nuts. Mix flour, soda, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Stir into berry mix. Pour into greased pan 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. (For glass pan, bake at 325 degrees.) Cool on rack. |
