COCONUT SQUARES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
2 c. flour
2 egg yolks

Mix together; spread in 8 inch square greased pan and press down. Spread with tart jam and cover with the following mixture: 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. coconut 1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries 1 tsp. vanilla

Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Cut when cool into small squares.
